Job Descriptions

Financial Targets

  • Achieve the assigned sale budget of strategic sales in Vietnam (FMCG & Retails/ Chemical/ Engineering Industrial / Technology/ Lifestyle)

Commercial Accountabilities

  • Sales
    • Maintain and develop the existing customers assigned.
    • Secure new contracted customers for both freight (sea and air) and contract logistics.
    • Develop the trade lane as assigned coordinating with sales office globally.
    • Promote the sales for the focused sales campaigns.
    • Support and materialize the sales leads from overseas sales and further develop for local profit.
    • Ensure the customer database up to date.
    • Ensure the sales pipeline updated with the most recent status.
    • Be the key contributor to the signed off sales budget and objectives for 2011.
  • Marketing
    • Increase awareness of Damco brand and capability in local market
    • Support the customer surveys and marketing plans by Damco




Job Requirements

  • 2 years + in a customer facing sales role, ideally within the logistics industry
  • A good understanding of logistics and forwarding products, solutions and terminology, in the local market
  • Proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning opportunities, through both personal and collaborative selling efforts.
  • Proven track record in a matrix, multi cultural organisation, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally.
  • Developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing andnegotiation skills
  • Has strong needs evolution and questioning skills
  • Demonstrable ability to handle most common customer objections
  • Self Motivated and performance driven
  • Fluency in English and local language (where different)
