  • Manage the material delivery process
  • Identify and replace missing components in coordination with his team
  • In the areas of expertise, train and develop other Site Supervisors, fitters and subcontractors and align their performance to a common level of excellence.
  • Manage teams of Installation Supervisors and Fitters, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure Schindler safety guidelines are communicated and followed by Schindler staff and subcontractors.
  • Implement Safety & Health Initiatives, Vital Field Objectives and New Installation (NI) Safety Guidelines in accordance with Company guidelines
  • Regularly reporting project status and highlight potential problem
  • Participating site activities such as site coordination with architects, consultants, builders, and site supervisor, etc.
  • Ensures that installation projects are completed within time frame and achieving company’s standard and clients’ needs
  • Ensures that the projects are implemented effectively so as to achieve the profitability target and/or not to exceed the cost limit
  • Detect potential schedule and cost slippage/overruns before they happen and when they occur, identify the root causes, take corrective actions, and ensure that all potential claims are notified to client. The project Engineer should claim extensions of time where delays are caused by others (i.e. not Schindler or our subcontractors or suppliers) and sell Variation Orders proactiveliy as per target.
  • Under supervision of Project Manager/ Operation team leader to maximize margins, variations and other claim opportunities. Minimize pre-free units and eliminate NI debt to increase cash flow.
  • Examine contractual documents in order to avoid disputes, maximize Variance Order opportunities and mitigate financial risks during project execution and completion.
  • Issue all documents to Finance and client to collect cash in accordance with the billing plan including all variations orders and all claims.
  • Prepare final billing including variations, claims and the late cost provision based on the outstanding punch list items. Review pre/post gap to feedback learning
  • Always represent Schindler face to the clients and to internal resources with the highest standards of ethics and respect
  • Set good personal example during daily routines
  • Perform and promote excellent customer services
  • Manage his team to achieve excellent result of Safety Acceptance Inspection Standard, First Pass Yield, Net Promoter Score and customer satisfaction
  • Drive and promote safe behavior in accordance with the Schindler Vietnam Safety Management System, Corporate Safety & Health Fundamentals and the Local Vietnamese labor legislation
  • Report all Unsafe events and Incidents as per Corporate Safety Fundamental F35 Incident Investigation
  • Adopt to the Schindler Zero tolerance approach towards unsafe behavior and conditions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Has knowledge in Commercial and financial concept with technical understanding of elevator and escalator engineering preferred
  • 1 – 2 year(s) relevant experience preferred
  • Good communication and human relations skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Computer skills
  • English (4 skills)
