Job Descriptions

  • Ensure that all new employees attend the Hotel Orientation and Marriott Culture Training.
  • Establish a training library of books, videos, journals and resources to assist trainer and staff development.
  • Ensure all staff receives ongoing training.
  • Facilitate management training programs.
  • Source and obtain specialist assistance to conduct training when needed.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness by attending as many training sessions as possible.
  • In conjunction with Director of Human Resources, manage and implement the certification ‘on the job’ skills training program.
  • Attend meeting as required.
  • Implement opportunities for quality Team Building.
  • Ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards.
  • Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
  • Comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.
  • Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and associates alike.
  • Assist in the Recruitment, Selection and Induction Process as requested by Director of Human Resources.
  • Assist in Internship program, sourcing and selecting intern candidates in accordance with the needs of departments.
  • To be familiar with and knowledgeable of the Labor Code for your own understanding and advising employees of conditions.
  • Monitor and ensure labor contract renewal process for all associates to be done in a timely basis.
  • Coordinate with Director of Human Resources on the expatriates’ recruitment.
  • Respond to employee request for statements of service/earnings and take responsibility for other general inquiries.
  • Be pro-active in streaming Human Resources practices and sourcing new ways to improve current systems.
  • Maintain an efficient trace system.
  • Co-ordinate with Director of Human Resources to organize associate’s events and activities.
  • Carry out any additional duties as requested by the Director of Human Resources or Hotel Management.
  • Coordinate and organize a comprehensive work experience program.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Orientation program.
  • Uphold the company’s Cares culture by demonstrating the Star Service Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates.
  • Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety rules, and related
  • Sheraton and Marriott Policies.
  • Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication
  • with other associates.
  • Align working practices and conduct with Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Tower’s Vision; consistently strive to meet and exceed the
  • expectations of both internal and external guests.
  • Handle internal customer concerns with empathy and understanding.

Jon Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Hotel Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in a Human Resources management role either as a generalist, or in a specific role such as
  • Training Executive or Recruitment Executive, in the hotel industry preferred.
  • Good communication skills in English
