Job Description


An exciting opportunity has just come for you to join ANZ as a Markets Operations Officer.

The role is responsible for assisting and contributing to Markets Operations performance in order to provide and support efficient services to Front Office, Counterparty Banks and Corporate Customers; provide efficient processing to ensure all Markets transactions are in compliance with Bank policy/procedures and local regulations. They also perform checking the supporting documents for FCY sold to Corporate customers to comply with regulatory requirement.
The role is also responsible for preparing reports for SBV, Ministry of Finance, Hanoi Stock Exchange and performing daily reconciliation e.g Daily Net Open Position, Intex, Retails trades, FX  trades Reconciliation.
The Markets Operation Officer is accountable for investigation with Interbank counterparties and corporate customers, Front Office and/or colleagues for non-receipt/late-receipt of fund/shortfall/interest claim. He/she is also answerable for Customer Service excellent performance in terms on delivering excellent customer satisfaction, high productivity consistently to meet customer’s  expectations.

The Markets Operations Officer role will be responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:
  • Product Knowledge: Sound understanding of fundamental working capital solutions products and service
  • Solutions thinking: Be aware of other bank products and how they will interact with the customer
  • Working with the bank’s sales team to assist them in developing the most effective solution for their prospective customers
  • Delivery focus: Experience of getting things done within a large organisation, sticking to timelines, having a focus on getting the solution delivered to the client quickly and efficiently, being willing to go the extra mile to make sure things get done
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and perform the role effectively under pressure to meet the agreed deadlines
  • Legal requirements and procedures for implementing documentation to ensure that the bank is not exposed to any litigation    

Job Requirement

  • Proven knowledge  of Treasury Products including Foreign Exchange Spot/Forward, Money Markets, Fixed Incomes, other Derivatives products and Collateralise Lending, CD
  • Experience in TSY operation functions and procedures
  • Knowledge of Group/internal policies and procedures regarding back office process
  • Excellent knowledge of SBV’s foreign exchange related regulations, payments/LC/DP/DA, accounting procedures, accounting flows
  • Familiarity with international payment methods, systems and settlement practices
  • Good understanding of compliance / operational risk and control    
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and perform the role effectively under pressure to meet the agreed deadlines
  • The ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff, demonstrate good PC skills and ability to grasp technical concepts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well-developed time management and work prioritisation skills
